Middle cottonwood with Mom, Siri, and Collin, and meeting up with Dad as he came over from Sypes. Except we didn’t get very far. There was a ton of snow still, and Mom & Collin turned around at the first major creek crossing (Siri got her feet wet going across a log in the creek, and I nearly fell in hopping across on rocks). Siri and I kept going to meet up with our dad, but we ended up playing an unfortunate roulette of postholing through deep snow into running water. Just when we thought we had lost the trail completely and were thinking about turning around (because if we lost the trail there’s no way our dad would be coming down on the trail), I heard my dad exclaim on the hillside above us as he suddenly post holed! We all ran down together. Siri and I have been 0/3 on our adventure ideas lately - lots of adverse conditions and not what we’ve been expecting. Hoping for some adventure wins in the coming weeks!

Wandering around Madison Buffalo Jump State park with Collin and my family. The last time I was here, Siri and I had a lovely adventure long run! I remembered how I think this place could make for some fun orienteering. Saw some yellowbells / yellow fritillary wildflowers and lots of shooting star wildflowers!
