Yoga/Stretching/S&C warm up/down 10:00 [1]

Dynamic stretching

Running 18:55 [2] 3.55 km (5:20 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave 12

Tester 20 min jog to and multiple laps of St James Park
After 1km I could feel my right quad and had a small pain in my knee. It didn't really get much worse but I was definitely aware of it, pain 1-2 out of 10. Trying to take it easy and not think about the injury too much.

Had two diagnosis appointments on Thurs, first with GP about feeling fatigued and worrying about the return of the Lyme's. Having some blood tests next week and she thought it could also be stressed related (think she could be right). Second was with Kyle, a sports therapist recommended by a few decent runners. Quite a thorough assessment and check, quite reassured that I was strong in a few areas like glutes that most runners are weak on. Identified that my right quad is weak and causing issues in the knee, Patellofemoral/Runners knee. He then did some acupuncture and soft tissue massage on the area. Been given a program of stretching and strength work, hopefully should only be a number of weeks and can run 3*20 mins per week if the pain doesn't go above a 3/10.
