10 AM

Running 27:38 [2] 5.37 km (5:09 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave 12

Fleming Park lap
Ran out of time, would've liked to have done more. Both evenings massively crashed and didn't have any energy to do anything. Yesterday think it was partly due to lack of food, not sure why it was bad again on Thurs (draining day is my best theory). Not had the fatigue so bad for a while. It meant the legs were a bit tired when starting today and I struggled to get going. Considered a double run day but then ran out of time, was at my Grandpa's 90th party longer than expected! Also meant I didn't get round to any stretching, lost the focus a bit with that recently.

9 AM

Running 23:58 [3] 5.02 km (4:46 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave 12

Eastleigh parkrun with Nicole
My 10th time at Eastleigh and on Nicole's moving day. Started steady and built into it. Lots of royal wedding fancy dress and some nice cake after. Felt okay, could feel it niggling a bit the last two days.

Yoga/Stretching/S&C warm up/down 10:00 [1]

Dynamic warm up

Running 34:25 [2] 6.53 km (5:16 / km)

Recovery run with Nicole
Rownhams then 1.5 laps of Oasis fields
Bit of a struggle of a day and couldn't really be bothered to go out. Had felt quite inspired and keen to get back on it yesterday but could feel the niggle a bit and lost some motivation today. Fortunately worked well with timing and got to run with Nicole. Meant I actually got out and enjoyed it

Wednesday May 16 #

2 PM

Running warm up/down 8:01 [2] 1.58 km (5:04 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave 12

Ran out of time to get ready so a bit rushed

Running race 46:07 [4] 10.17 km (4:32 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave 12

Civil Service 10km with Marko around the Olympic Park
Had a goal of 44-46mins, so pretty much spot on. Both of us weren't up to full fitness so it was nice to run together. Started with Rach and allowed them to tuck in on the windy sections. Pretty consistent paces into the wind and with it, felt pretty strong running. Legs absolutely shattered after, hard to believe I was 10 minutes faster over 10km last year! Really great team results and individual performances (first mens and womens team). My goal at the trophy presentation was to get back to fitness and lead the mens team home at the XC in October (I got two bronze team medals last year).
