Northern Fells with John
Pin balling around collecting some Wainwright's. Bit of a convoluted route, a bit like a score! A fair way down the road to start with, legs felt a bit rough after yesterday. One very steep ascent, need to work on using my glutes and thighs more (rather than calves). After that a mix of more runnable grassy fells. Feeling a bit tired at times and John was tired too. A nice stop at Great Lingy hut before a great gradual descent.

Pooley Bridge to Kirkstone Pass with John
Ticking off a few Far Eastern Wainwright's: Arthur's Pike, Bonscale Pike, Loadpot Hill, Wether Hill, High Raise, Kidsty Pike, Rampsgill Head, The Knott, High Street, Mardale Ill Bell, Thornthwaite Crag and Caudale Moor. Had done the last few a couple of years ago in the snow.

Nice weather, getting even better as the day progressed. Got sent off by myself to do a couple of extra. Nice getting some running alone in the fells. Always good getting out with John. We're fairly well matched, though he dropped me on the descent off Thornthwaite Crag, which was loose scree. Legs held up okay, though quads a little sore. Attempted to hitch, pub stop, long bus wait then more hitching down to Glen Ridding.

Garmin died ascending Caudale Moor: 3:08 moving time 21.28km 1000m

Little Mell Fell and Gowbarrow with John
Post long drive up, couple of small outlying fells. Two new Wainwright's. Little Mell Fell only took us 11.5 mins up and down, very steep down. Before heading over to Gowbarrow, a bit more trail like. Some nice sections and some very muddy.

Reps: 4*800m (60s) bang on 3:00s
Started the session late and decided it was best to focus on being okay for the weekend. Ran with Frances and Nicole and set a consistent pace for the reps. Less than a second variation! Definitely started to feel tired as the session progressed, not really used to intervals anymore! Been able to feel my knee a bit since the weekend, partly thinking it could be due to spikes from the gorse.
