Longest ever ride - that was more of an adventure than planned!
Out to Nomansland, then through Hamptworth to Lover, down through Hyde and Gorley. Down the Ornamental drive and back through Woodlands to home.

Plan had been to give Nicole a small headstart and then to meet up about 2 hours in (or I may have caught her). Unfortunately got a flat tyre just before Nomansland. Got it changed but wasn't sure what to do. Decided to try going on and then called Shaun for an SOS pump use! Nice to catch up briefly and keep going on fully inflated tyres. Phone battery died which didn't help matters. Still unsure if I should bail home but thought I'd try and continue on. Quite happy that I had a load of options to turn back and debated it a lot of times but actually kept going. Could easily have taken the easy option and go home. Blissford hill was horrendous. Otherwise a pretty nice Forest route. Flagging the last third and on the verge of cramping up through Totton. Never did see Nicole! More impressed than her Ride London 100 miler now than I was at the time. That is a long way!

Lunch ride with Nicole
Up the Avenue to Asda, across Castle Lane to Baddesley then over Hoe Lane and up Toothill. A good hour long ride route variation. Started feeling quite slow and then moving fairly quickly at times, great run down the end. Toot Hill always gets the legs and lungs working.

Lap of the Sports centre
A nice lunch run out and back through the Greenways to the Sports centre for a lap. Had thought I'd go through the Common but decided the quiet was better than the crowds. On the way back the legs felt tired after yesterdays strength work, especially in my left quad.

Explore around Lordshill while sorting the click and collect
Good to run some slightly different places! Loads of little paths in the housing estates. Often think this kind of area would be a good sprint map.
