November Classic Black 12th +19:40
Lots of heather bashing. Didn't feel super confident on some of my bearings, maybe could've used the bezel more? Though looking at routegadget, was broadly okay with the sighting that I did. Slowed to a walk in a few places when I just couldn't run through the heather.
Nice to be back out in the Forest and a return of the Classic. Great to see so many club mates and friends. Not really sure why I was so far down on Nick (5 mins). Looks like he was stronger in the second half.

OSR Club Champs at Portsmouth Lakeside parkrun
Running mainly with Marko. Had been unsure how hard to run this. Part of me wants to really see what I can do but had the Classic the day after and in general don't really want to over do it. Possibly ended up running in that mid zone of not actually super hard but still fairly hard. Pretty happy to knock out a sub 21 without too many issues. Started with Marko running at a consistent pace. Then Mark got a gap at 3.5km which I tried to close and then he couldn't hold on. A good course for seeing everyone else on the out and backs. Nicole ran really well and got to the front early on and held it for a first finisher token.

Dursley NGOC MapRun
Main headtorch wouldn't turn on (should have charged it beforehand) and my small backup ran out 1/3 of the way round. Resulted to using my phone with torch on, hard to adjust to the different lights. Also couldn't hear my phone beep at the control sites (causing one issue when I thought mine beeped but it was someone else's). Probably should get round to setting up MapRunG. Will charge my headtorch next time too... Good fun to D my first NGOC MapRun and pub after

Sun down on the Gloucestershire trails
Up onto the hill from Churchdown. Almost could have done with my headtorch which I took out of my bum bag this morning. A bit hard work up the hill but otherwise good fun. Lots of trails to explore

Session: 3*5min tempo (60s) 4:05 pace 3*4min 10km pace (90s) 3:55 pace
Not the full session. Could feel myself slowing down a bit and didn't want to knacker myself. Running with a couple of other guys for these reps. Could feel a bit of a twinge in my left quad I think. Didn't feel too knackered after fortunately.
