Walking (Recovery) 1:30:00 [2] 2.0 mi (45:00 / mi)

In search of Kate's lost Garmin watch, we ventured into the woods with high hopes of finding it. No such luck.

Orienteering race (Rogaine) 9:24:00 [4] 21.71 mi (25:59 / mi)

Perfect 10 Rogaine.

Did the first 2 hours with Kate before doing the rest solo, other than one CP when I found Bob and Travis going for the same one.

Despite not including any running in my training for months, I felt way better than I anticipated. I ran way more than I would've if I wasn't with Kate early, but I also ran here and there when I was alone - even at the end.

My feet were pretty beat up by the end, but overall held up pretty well. The Feed Zone Portables I made were delicious, easy on my stomach, and kept me going all day.

I did cramp just a bit in the middle. Slammed a Right Stuff which tastes like, as Bob says, the Devil's ball sweat. It works though, and I was cramp free for 2 or 3 hours until I ran low on water. Filled up in a creek and was good to go after that.

I should've gotten one more at the end, but I'd had a great day and was ready for food and beer. And not that it matters to me, but getting that extra 20-pointer wouldn't have moved me up at all in the standings.

My nav was pretty good except for a couple small hiccups and one bigger mistake where I went down the wrong reentrant and ended up blowing by the CP. By the time I relized my mistake, it wasn't worth going back for just 20 points.

Great day. I just wish we weren't too exhausted to go hang out with silky chrome and other friends after showering.

Rest day. Felt tired in the morning but good by the afternoon. Almost did a short run but ran short on time and decided to make it a full rest day.

Metabolic Conditioning (Complex) 11:15 [5]
ahr:158 max:175 weight:217.5lbs

Barbell Complex Countdown

-Hang Clean, Push Press, Front Squat, Romanian Deadlift, Bent Row

95 pounds x 10,9,8,7,6 with 60 sec rest between rounds.

Final rest (laying on floor) until HR < 135 = 2:01

Thought about stopping after 9, really wanted to quit after 8, wanted to die after 7, thought I was dead after 6. Flat on my back on the ground for 15 minutes after. Fuck that shit.

If I can do this countdown all the way down to 1, My balls will be huge and hairy.
