Cycling (MTB) (3 Hour Race) 3:00:00 [3]58 km (3:06 / km)
ahr:147 max:173 rhr:44 shoes: SH-M120B
CORC Race at Tumut. Felt terrible, legs heavy and hit the wall after 30mins... I think I'm still suffering from this cold. Course was real good but. Got beaten by a MTB Orienteer, thought very carefully about retiring from MTB racing.
Cafe (McCafe) 5:00 [3]
Spent most of the time in the queue, drank my long black in the car driving to Tumut.

ahr:120 max:166 rhr:44 shoes: SH-M120B

Had some porridge and a coffee and talked a little bit about training.

Cycling (Road) 2:00:00 [2]60 km (2:00 / km)
ahr:124 max:163 rhr:42 shoes: SH-R130S
Easy ride around the "Tour de Pete" with the usual clowns. Freezing this morning, maybe only 2 degrees. Coldest place in the world is Canberra. All worth it for the coffee at Sfoglia afterwards though...

Gareth was gonna come but I have a horrible feeling I told him 7.40 instead of 6.40... Gareth?

Well I didnt get all the Australian WOC Team Vouchers in time. Apparently Kellogs put some in All Bran, some sort of breakfast serial old people eat... I know of one particular household that stocked up on them while they were on sale at 33 cents off RRP. If i Had of known I would have told my Dad to look out for them, he would be keen to have a crack at the sprint.
Running (Trails) 1:05:00 [2]13 km (5:00 / km)
ahr:131 max:151 rhr:42 (sick) shoes: Nike Structure something
Steady run on trails around Mt Ainslie. This cold is still hanging on... Running in 23 degrees and sunshine, couldnt be better. Why live anywhere else?

Wednesday Apr 26

Orienteering (Night) 45:00 [2]***
ahr:131 max:161 (sick) shoes: Nike Pegasus
Canberra Cockatoos training at Bruce Ridge, Grant & Shannon put toilet paper out in the forest. They marked control sites with it too. I'm still sick so i ran pretty easy, first night training in a long time so struggled a bit...
Running (Warm up/down) 33:00 [2]
ahr:124 (sick) shoes: Nike Pegasus
Running to and from Cockatoos training on trails and roads.

Easy riding on single tracks on Bruce Ridge. Someone has been doing a lot of work up there... I wonder if we can race some dirt crits there next summer.

Sunday Apr 23

Note
(sick) (rest day)
I'm not going to train this week. I heard Kellogs were giving away places in the Australian WOC Team in specially marked boxes of Special K, so I am going to all the Woolworths and Coles in Canberra to look through the boxes.
