Foot Running 2:19:00 [3]22 km (6:19 / km) +1200m 4:58 / km

4 Peaks run up Mt Feathertop. The weather was terrible so we had to stop at Federation Hut instead of the last exposed but to the top. I started out running hard but my hip flexors absolutely killed me so really had to easy off. I could barely walk the rest of the day, and needed plenty of ibuprofen just to change my shorts. Running, it aint good for ya.

Event: Four Peaks

Foot Running long 1:30:00 [3]

Planned to ride the Happy Valley loop today but it was pissing down, and got up too late to run the 4 peaks race up Mystic Mountain. So ran around the trails in Bright with Jo, some of it with NSW Stinger and Ewelsy. Feeling ok, but the legs arent used to running at the moment, nice run but even though it was raining.

Cycling (Road) 2:13:00 [3]65 km (2:03 / km) +1100m 1:53 / km

Ride from Bright up Mt Buffalo (1337m) to the Chalet. What an awesome climb, 22km with 1070m ascent, forest changing every meter of the way and some cracker hairpins to make the descent fun. This was the first time i'd done this climb, canna believe i hadnt done it before... didnt push too hard but just broke the hour for the climb.

we gotta do some orienteering up there, i reckon the slopes on the northern slopes with marshes, big bare rocks and granite boulders will be awesome training for woc in trondheim. shame the marshes up the top are full of writhing snakes. i saw so many dead snakes on the road this week, no wonder everyone in this area keeps their grass mown nice and short.

real cruisy ride into Bright for breakfast, then back to the Prossercutions place to keep working on my thesis...
Cycling (MTB) 1:05:00 [3]
shoes: SH-M120B
smashed it around the singletracks at Prossers place for a bit, started feeling pretty hordinary so went back home, lit the fire and opened a few bottles of Bright Brewery wheat beer. the long ride yesterday plus Mitta - Mt Beauty took a bit out of me i think.

Wednesday Oct 31

Cycling (Road) 4:45:00 [3]155 km (1:50 / km)
ahr:141 shoes: SH-R130S
pretty solid ride from Wandiligong to Beechworth, powered down some food and a coffee, then rode the rail trail to Everton and back on the road home again. Pushed it fairly hard really, but felt wuite good the whole way except for the last 30mins in Beechworth, i was getting hit by mapgies every 2minutes, and they know to go for your ears down in indigo shire. pissing me off, i dont want their f*cking eggs.

Tuesday Oct 30

Cycling (MTB) 1:40:00 [3]
ahr:112 shoes: SH-M120B
a bit of cruising around Wandiligong and Bright, with some singletracks along morses creek through the diggings (would make a cool orienteering map) and in the pines above Bright. Lunch at food wine and friends in Bright in the middle, delish.

Monday Oct 29

Cycling (Road) 2:03:00 [3]63 km (1:57 / km)
ahr:113 max:143 shoes: SH-R130S
a bit of a recovery ride up the Buckland Valley from Prossers at Wandiligong. Started feeling pretty weak and dizzy when i turned into a headwind but otherwise cruising along ok.
