NSW State League long distance at the supposed "gardens of stone". Theres more democracy in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea than there are gardens of stone where we raced today. Mostly boring course, some annoyances like lines/circles obscuring important details (termite mounds), but the last 4 controls (about 5mins of running) were awesome. 25 laps of those 4 controls would have been a better idea (and less work for the planner).

Had a minor roll on the ankle just after 4 so took it very easy after that. Lost 45-60 seconds on a couple of controls otherwise reasonably clean (just slow, Steve Craig got me on a lot of the splits we had in common).

NSW State League middle distance at Mt Piper. Good course on what's a pretty boring area - why go to Lithgow and not run on the maps with rock, they're some of the best maps in the world!

I took it a bit easy on the ankle, ran OK but had a couple of wobbles of about 45sec each.

solid run with hills. small ankle roll but luckily i'd taped it.

I just read on the interwebs about how Goose died hitting the windshield (of his F14 Tomcat), when that's what happens to actual geese. I can't believe it's been 30 years and it never occurred to me before.
