Fairly good ride for a afternoon. It was colder than I originally thought it would be and lots of ice fog. You could see the ice stuck to all the trees and bushes on the drive up. Had spent over a hour cleaning up my MTB hardtail in prep for the ride.

Lots of riders out probably wondering why we are still riding these trails minus ice and snow. Even better though when warmed up a bit; this was wear a buff and gloves riding. First rode the 5k double-track oracle loop to check it out and back to the parking lot. Almost some light snow while riding the course loop. The decided to avoid the hikers who shouldn't have been on the single-track bike trail and went south to the hydro towers. The east and then north through maple gravy. Then further north though baby butter and back to the parking. That was about a hour and a half of riding.

ARKfest with Fiona in Burlington. Nice introduction for Fi with the easier junior course and weather was decent enough for early December. Terrain was a golf course with not to many crazy climbs and descents. (Strava showed a 64m elevation) One of the controls had an issue with some nearby barbed wire which if I was the course designer, would have avoided for younger orienteering racers.
Looks like we mis-punched one of the green 20 point controls, because I know we visited all of them! Full score was 695 for U14, we had 675.
