Orienteering Race 2:21:59 [3] *** 7.46 km (19:01 / km) +151m 17:17 / km

Stars W.A.R. snowshoe orienteering with Fi and Team Running Free. She lasted just over 2 hour this time and there was no convincing we should go for more points under the 3 hour race limit. (A eleven year old can only do so much in super-sticky snow on snowshoes) Scored 490 points - 250 regular, 240 bonus. I had a strong feeling this wouldn't be enough to finish first family given the nature of the 1:5000 course and it wasn't by a small margin. Pushing for more 'points' maybe sends the wrong message I think to Fi 'to win at all costs' that us adults take for granted, and just try to have fun instead.

Training run at Dundas Valley Conservation Area on the Sulphur Springs course. 2 sort of accurate loops of the SS course. Was closer to 35km, forgot to turn on tracking for the first 20-30 minutes.
