| Easy run with Louis after uni... Slogged up the hill to the signal station from uni then cruised down to Hobart College, did a loop there and down to uni again past Olinda Grove. Probably could have done a bit less talking and more running, but wasn't meant to be a particularly hard run. Bit tight in a few places when running, but felt good afterwards. |

| Discovered I was pretty dehydrated last night after a bit of blurry vision and a massive headache during the night... probably due to not much water after the race, 2 coffees, coke and all the flying home... so took it easy and drank today. |

| Bloody terrible day. Woke up to an alarm at 7:20am to discover it was actually 8:20am... so after several minutes of confusion and checking every available clock in sight we madly ate some breakie, packed up and checked out of the hotel. Thought we had enough time tho, since we were only 15 mins late picking up Matty Parton (who also had the some problem with his phone's clock)..
Then unfortunately we were given the wrong directions to the event from Queanbeyan, and ended up heading 12km out Sutton Road. It eventually clicked that something was wrong and we called up Lee who gave us the bad news.. so with 20 mins to go till the start we started to make the 30km journey to the event. Rocked up with everyone standing on the starting line and had a minute to get my gear on and go. Ended up getting one orthodic in my shoes and grabbed my compass and estick to look up and see everyone disappearing into the bush. Found my map and headed off hoping everyone would blow the first control..... by several minutes.
First loop wasnt too great and after finally succuming to a much needed toilet stop at the start of the second loop I started to run much better. Ran well and enjoyed the second half of the course... woulda been a fun race I reckon.
