Home > Hoppers Crossing and caught the train home. Via Williamstown and Altona.
Had intended to go to Werribee, but had already done about 5 km in detours and didn't know how to get there from Hoppers (didn't see any signs directing me on the Federation Trail). Fairly slow and cruisy as you can't really get going on bike paths because you never know when a child or dog is going to jump out at you.
Had the most disappointing ice cream in Williamstown - it was meant to be Mars flavour but had lots of gelatinous gloopy bits, one of which turned out to be orange peel.
Not sure if the "unsafe for cycling" sign was directed at that particular stretch, or the western suburbs in general.
