Orienteering 1:15:12 [4] 8.4 km (8:57 / km)

WA long champs, Spice Brook, 5th.

Wet, wet, wet. Luckily the junior girls copped the worst of the rain.

Kept on pushing through the race, but never really felt like I was moving too quickly. Tentative on the vague legs to 1 and 11. Lizzie blew past me on the way to 10, and found Katelyn at about the same time. Missed 15 by not dropping low enough (had assumed I would see the creek detail below me, but I was too high). Made up for it with equal fastest split on the nasty uphill afterwards.

A fair way down on the Kiwi-show, but in the mix with the Aussies.

Riding 50:00 [3]

Went out on the purple peril just after getting home from work. Up the creek to Fawkner, back streets to Merlo and then home along the Upfield.

Highlight of the day was the two guys walking the opposite way along the bike path in their underpants on my way to work. I like to think I heard them speaking Russian as I went past, but maybe I imagined that bit.

Running 20:00 [2]

Warm up, warm down.

Running 17:00 [4]

1,2,3,3,2,1 with 1 min recovery up the creek.

Took a WA map to read, but it started raining and I didn't have a map bag. It was a bit slippy out. Legs feeling good. A bit tired in general from fire.

Running 25:00 [3]

Easy run with Cam, looking at LTUB map until it got dark. Legs felt a bit tired.

Bailed on meeting the Danes as I have to go burning tomorrow. Being the most unspontaneous person in the world, fire and the constant change of plans is a bit of a challenge.

Running 1:00:00 [3]

Finally made it out the door at 1730. Motivation not really high, and guts a bit crampy all day.

But the run was nice. Turned up the pace a little from 20-30', 40-50' and 48-52' through the gaol. Found the Pentridge Beer Festival. Nice arvo out.

Lots of extra miscellaneous biking too (including a sprint last night to catch up to the f***ing knob who threw a bottle at me) and feeling pretty knackered. Ready for an easy week before WA.
