Running 3:33:00 [2] 17.0 km (12:32 / km) +600m 10:39 / km

Lerderderg Scenic Rim (from Mackenzies Flat) with Jayne.

Nice start up the river to ease into it, then reduced to walking up the Spur track. Back down to the river on a well-made road, then back up another spur (stopping to admire the view and some poo, later identified as wombat). Along an undulating vehicle track, then scrambled down to the river again. Jayne found another gear on the way back and I struggled to keep in touch.

Beautiful day out - perfect sunny weather, lovely area, good company.

Running 40:00 intensity: (33:00 @3) + (7:00 @4)

Trail running club at Studley.

Little warm up, 5 hills (quite long ones - hard work when you've run as few hills as I have lately) and warm down.

I quite like hills.

Running 23:00 [3]

Streets jog. Got home from work too late :(

Orienteering 23:03 [3] 2.6 km (8:52 / km)

Aus 3 days, Charles Sturt University.

Another good day for me :) Made it through the rocks ok, although possibly more through luck than good management. Escaped the boxthorn. Saw a fair bit of Marina and Jo out there.

Ran pretty hard, but was a bit stop/start trying to read the map. Didn't cross any garden beds (at least not the one at the spectator control).

Orienteering 1:29:14 [3] 9.0 km (9:55 / km)

Aus 3 days, Burngoogee.

Well, that was the best run I've had in I don't know how long :) And in a long. Must have been the taper paying off.

Mistake-free (by my standards) run, and even felt like I was running ok (given recent training). Happy to hold it together for the last loop too.

My highest placed split (apart from the run in) was the spectator leg - maybe because I was too disorganised to put something out on the table so cruised straight through? :)

Thoroughly enjoyed my day out :)
