Jayne brought up her old mountain bike for me, and we went for a little spin from the orienteering. The sun came out and it was the nicest part of the day. It's been a long time since I've done much mountain biking, and back then it wasn't on a 29er with suspension.
Thought I'd missed more controls than I did (although wasn't sure what was the correct number to write down for one lightpole, and one control circle was missing a lightpole at the dot so may not get points). Tired legs at the start, but was running pretty quickly by the end :)
Still a bit scarred from the relays here in a gale last year. Legs felt really heavy, and was a bit hard running at times through high grass or weeds-with-potentially-hidden-rocks-to-trip-you-over.
