Orienteering 53:35 [3] 7.2 km (7:27 / km)

Bendigo local, Kangaroo Gully.

Lots of beautiful flowers out! I must have peaked too early, because I beat Ted. Didn't feel like I was moving super quickly, but did try and keep myself going as fast as I could. Pretty straight to most of them and not real issues finding them.

Running 25:00 [3]

Running club warm up (long) and warm down (short). Only a small group tonight. Rain held off while we were running, but unleashed as we were getting ready to leave. Although it had a silver lining as I found jelly beans in my bag when I was looking for my overpants.

Running 20:00 [3]

Fairly hard loops. Starting with a hill rep, then a longish loop at the bottom of the hill. No idea about times, although I think the loop was about 3 mins. I did 3 repeats.

Running (stairs) 14:11 [4]

It's been a long time since my last stairs session. Thinking of doing Eureka again, and stairs probably won't hurt my general fitness!

1-19 x 2 for the first and last, and 1-17 x 3 in the middle. 1180 stairs (still 462 less than Eureka). Took about 3 mins from bottom to top, which is about what I was at 2 years ago after doing a few sessions - clearly the fire boots were slowing me down!

Heard some heavy breathing in the stairwell during the 2nd last lap, but it was just another girl doing repeats.

Orienteering 1:12:39 [3] 6.8 km (10:41 / km)

State Series, Glenluce.

Was a bit worried my map wasn't going to hold out in the rain, but luckily it never got any heavier than a drizzle.

Just an ordinary run. The longish leg getting to 2 seemed to take a long time. Saw a lot of Michael Loughnan (he caught me about 2 mins at 2, and finished just in front of me after we both made some mistakes).

I was pretty clean except from 9. Tried to keep out of the rocks but then messed up the end and followed Ian Dodd up on to the wrong spur. Powered up the hill to 10 though and made up some ground.
