Jog to and from parkrun

Torrens Parkrun.

Pretty nice course along the river. I think I need to get faster/only do smaller parkruns as I don't remember having this much trouble passing people at Coburg! Saw Evalin on the start line, and kept expecting a come back after I went past her with about 1k to go.

Glenelg beach run/plod down to Somerton (where I kept walking a bit further) then back. Slow but pleasant, with a post-run dip :)

Orienteering 26:55 [3] 4.03 km (6:41 / km)

Surprise guest appearance at Adelaide training (well, it was less of a surprise to me). Slow plod around the gloriously green and lush golf course, avoiding the corona bubbles on the map and the golf balls in the sky. May have cut through the edge of some bubbles, but just avoided all the balls. Legs quite weary still!!

Orienteering 9:40 [3] 1.8 km (5:22 / km)

MSW 5 - Quali - VU St Albans

Could have walked around and still qualified! Had the longer split. Nice head to head racing (including with the ones who started a minute after me). Glad it was a bit shorter.

Orienteering 9:58 [3] 1.9 km (5:15 / km)

MSW 5 - QF - VU St Albans

Good fun race. Held off Lucy at the end, but a fair bit behind Elin and Caitlyn.

Orienteering 10:12 [3] 1.9 km (5:22 / km)

MSW 6 - SF - Penola

Legs feeling pretty dead by now. Made an unpopular choice of split. Navigation was ok, but just couldn't keep up (not that I'd expected to).

Orienteering 11:57 [3] 2.2 km (5:26 / km)

MSW 6 - C Final - Penola

Legs even more cooked now. Hung in not too far behind Lani until 12, then had a few hesitations and missing gaps.

Hadn't been overly enthused about the weekend, but it was great fun. Lots of head to head racing (if only I were fitter) and really enjoyed the KO (apart from the dead legs). Big thanks to the organisers!

Orienteering 22:05 [3] 2.3 km (9:36 / km)

MSW 3 - Granite Hills Park

Took until about 13 before I could actually make some sense of the map. Found things coming up really quickly and stumbled across a lot of my controls.

Best splits were to the final control and finish - maybe I've still got some stair legs :)

MSW 4 - Relay - Latrobe Bundoora

Not often that I get to run first leg in a relay so it was nice to for a change. Although I didn't see many people after 3. Punched all the controls in the correct order. Pivot controls were pretty hard to work out, but generally enjoyed the run.
