Decided I'd better do some hills for the first time in my training plan, but didn't feel like running.

Plan A of getting picked up at the top of Donna Buang didn't work out, so had to do some descending as well. Very nearly bailed on the way to 1000 Steps when unplanned train cancellations got in the way. Then slightly spicy Sri Lankan fried things were not the lunch I needed. Luckily (?) period pain meant I didn't have much appetite anyway. Feeling a bit sorry for myself with a very slow plod from the station.

Glad I got there though, as it was quite pleasant (especially by the end when there were fewer people around).

Knees weren't as bad as I thought - didn't really enjoy the steps coming down Lyrebird and had had enough of the down by the end, but not too sore afterwards.

Strolled an extra loop at the end that was longer than I needed. ~16km all up.

Parkrun was a couple of minutes quicker than last week and felt easier - I don't understand how my perception of effort/pace varies so much. Legs pretty tired by the end.

Ploddy, warm, tired-legged jog up the creek and back. Fairly dark by the time I was heading back.

Waited until later so it was nice and quiet :) Much shorter breaks today (both because it was less crowded, and because swimming is getting slightly easier)
