Specific Improvement to Job: Get a MOM team going so I am not the only person responsible for food and rations.

Specific Improvement to Team: Be more considerate to people on the team. We are great at being respectful to strangers and other officers, but lack common courtesies with each other. For example: when someone puts out trash bags, we put the trash in them instead of placing it back in to the food and waiting for someone else to come around and do it for you. Help each other out with those little nuances and everyone will be happier. Rant complete.

Middle Course (Terrain v. Trails) 1:00:00 [3] ** 4.2 km (14:17 / km)
shoes: Innovates

COL Campbell and her team came out to practice today to teach us some tricks and help us determine when it is appropriate for us to use trails and when to use roads.

I ran the red map.

Start to 1: Ran road and cut in at cliff, stayed on level ground following the contours and ran up draw to point.

1 to 2: It said to take the road, but I thought that would be like shooting myself in the foot. So I followed the terrain, hanging on the low end of the cliff faces then popped up on the little trail to grab the point. I started walking a portion of it and taking my time because I thought I severely messed up in taking that route instead of trail/road running like everyone else. However, at my slowed pace I found that I beat majority of the people that took the trails there!

3 to 4: Popped out to the road and took that straight in. Cut out a small segment of the trail run so I wouldn't have to make a sharp turn all the way at the end, just a little time off.

4 to 5: Absolute hell trying to get back. The vegetation was so thick and miserable. Took me 20 minutes to get there through it.

Did not get to go to 6 because 4 to 5 took too long. Ran straight back to finish.

Note
slept:2.0 (rest day)

Extremely tired and running off minimal sleep. Used Monday to attempt to get caught up on rations, but it's hard to do when some people cannot go to practice. I will keep trying. Note: Check on rations for OSW.

PERSONAL:
Honestly, I'm feeling pretty mentally, physically, and emotionally drained. Maybe I've taken on too much this semester or maybe I'm just not managing things well enough. I just could really use some help. But that's the thing, we're at the time of year where everyone needs help in many different forms. Many in the same form that I do. People come to me for that help, but I barely have time to help myself...but I can't really turn them down. So then I don't sleep. It's a vicious cycle. I just need to get through the month.
