Note
(injured)

Sudden sharp knee pain (R) in the morning, especially going up and down stairs. Grrr I should give up running. I mainly don't want it be a problem for XC skiing and other winter adventures.
so, lay of running until it feel fine again, do more strengthening and maybe take the cartilage tablets I once had.

Night O training #1
Lots of blackberries and cutting off tracks into non-descript forest. I did way too much searching.. need to be much more diciplined coming into controls.
I did much better on the last loop which was timed with SI as a race.
Got pretty scratched up and freezing! Dinner and shower at Käthi & Usé's place was much appreciated!

Beautiful sunny morning but below zero, that was a shock to the system!
Just jogged out to my fave stretching spot on the lake.

got home late and couldn't be bothered rushing off to the pool. Started and push ups and plank challenge. By the initial push up test, I couldn't even do 1 proper push up!! So am doing the challenge from the knees.

shoes: Roc lite #3

Drove up to St Meinrad and ran around a bit in the snow, then down through the forest collecting controls. So beautiul, I love winter!
I need some good sun glasses, running in the open in fresh snow you can't see the shape of the land at all and I stacked it quite a few times!
Left achilles started getting sore, I guess a combination of cold, O shoes and uphills. Need to avoid this becoming a problem!

Ran from home up to Etzel to set controls for the junior training. Half way up the rain turned into snow and at the top of the map there was a few cm settled on the ground!
They enjoyed the training (just a normal course but with some RC legs and tricky control picking) but I got so cold by the end after standing around for about 1.5 hours. It took me almost so long to thaw out once I got home, thankful for warm swiss appartments!
The sun did come out at the end and Etzel above us was so beautiful covered in snow. Winter aint so bad ;)
