INTERVALS 20:00 [4]
6 x 60 secs, up to Diamond hill and return.

Sunday Mar 25

Event: NSW State League #2 (badge)

ORIENTEERING (Classic Training) 1:45:00 [3]
Putting out tapes and controls for the training today at Mia Mia, then pulling in some of them as well

Saturday Mar 24

Event: NSW Sprint Champs (NSW SL1)

ORIENTEERING (Sprint Training) 20:00 [3]
Chewton Diggings, pulled in controls, map was very good, seeing it is 20+ years old, scale 5000
ORIENTEERING (Middle Training) 40:00 [3]
Chewton Diggings, put out controls for the 1st loop, and bought them in for the 2nd loop. Put a control in the wrong spot, well not really, marked some maps wrong, so it was right for some and wrong for others

Thursday Mar 22

MTB 45:00 [3]
Out to Diamond Hill and then One Tree Hill, back home via Sharon & Houston St
INTERVALS 20:00 [4]
Went up to the Res to do my intervals, managed to get 'over' the fence, but I left my run to late, and it got dark. So I made my way out to Diamond Hill Rd and came home. Had to finish reps of on the road
RUNNING 24:00 [3]
Up to the res and back
WALK 20:00 [3]
It got that dark, I had to do some brisk walking to get out to the road, and back through the forest to home

Tuesday Mar 20

RUN (Mt Macedon) 1:35:00 [3]
Went down to Macedon with Leon and Bryan to run with Troy, didn't know if I should do this as I had just done the longest run for the year two days ago.
Not to bad on the climb, but felt a little tired, once I hit the top, I pushed the pace as often as I could. Instigated more surges than anyone else, and never won one. Very good fun, and felt good at the end.

Monday Mar 19

ROAD BIKE 1:05:00 [3]
Nice ride with Shamus and my sister, Shamus was playing games, either sitting on your wheel, sprinting for KOM points or dropping out the back, even gave a passing motorist the bird.
I let him have a couple of KOM, made made him work hard for it though. Went Burns St, back to Tannery, and around OTH
C • Generous 1
MTB 10:00 [3]
Car ran out of petrol, so had to go and get some. Got there and found out I forgot to put on my helmet, so came home through the cemetery.

Sunday Mar 18

ORIENTEERING (Rogaine) 2:43:32 [4]
Ran with Troy and Bruce in the Porcupine Pursuit rogaine.
Plan was to run hard and long for 3 hrs, Troy was going well and Bruce was with him most of the way, I dropped of a bit about 90 mins, but kept up towards the end. Tried to race Troy to the 2nd last control, lost that as well. 163 mins was shorter than planned, but it was the right time to come in, no need to over do it, Easter is only 3 weeks away

Saturday Mar 17

Event: Porcupine Purusit Rogaine 2 x 6 hours

Friday Mar 16

RUNNING 20:00 [3]
Dark again, ran around the Spring Gully Crk area

Wednesday Mar 14

ROAD BIKE 1:24:00 [3] 44 km (1:55 / km)
Shortened Goose neck, back home via Red Tank and Tannery
RUNNING warm up/down 10:00 [3]
Ran to and back from Street-O,
ORIENTEERING race 1:07:00 [5]
Felt good tonight, pack was Myself, Toph, Leon and Birchy, 1st control just down the street from my house, then next behind Clara's house. (was Charles going to go cut the corner through his block) Bit of Forest tonight, Toph was the 1st to go another way, then Birchy dropped of, Leon started to go home and I was enjoying myself so much, so I disregarded the watch and got all but 1 control, came in 7 mins late, so penalised 210 points, to put it at 460, 50 points behind Toph's winning score,

Note
All in all, a good days training, back to work tomorrow

Tuesday Mar 13

Event: Keen Adventure Race

MTB 1:20:00 [3] 28 km (2:51 / km)
Meant to be a easy ride, felt tired to start with and only felt a little better when I finished. Through Diamond Hill and Kangaroo Gully to the main Coliban channel, and back home around the Res
INTERVALS tempo 30:00 [4]
Finished my ride at 1pm, and while I was eating lunch I got a call to be at work by 3.30, didn't finish there until 7.30, so this run was done mostly in the dark, good thing there are street lights about. Up Spring Gully road to the Pub, then did a couple of 1200's down pass the aths track, then home via Paterson and Masefeild St
C • Pub stop 5

Sunday Mar 11

RUNNING 6:00 [3]
Warm up before event
ORIENTEERING race 53:55 [5]
Bunjil Spirit (Little Forest) Once again a fast start, 1st main error on 6, then another small one on the way to 8, started to run down the wrong spur going to 13.

Started 1 min behind Luise, 2 behind Bruce and 3 behind Yasmine, saw Luise running down wrong spur at 3, never saw Bruce, and took me until 13 to get in front of Yasy, maybe i was not running as well as I thought )-; Enjoyed the run in a nice area.
MTB warm up/down 20:00 [3]
Needed to relax a little after the last 2 days of racing, so easy ride up Diamond Hill and home via the creek
Note
Might have to go out and do some more training, Clara is in front of me by 25.54 for the week )-;

Saturday Mar 10

Event: Eureka Challenge Weekend

ORIENTEERING 20:00 [3]
Ran around with Max, putting out tapes for Troysie's training exercise, nearly got ran down by the pack a number of times.
ORIENTEERING race (Eureka Challenge) 48:05 [5]
Fast start, saw Dave just as I entered the complex stuff for the 1st time, he was navigating well through those controls, put the pace on for the long leg, but couldn't drop him, caught Toph as well. Lost my head as we went into the Southern controls, (I was in front of Bruce till 14, and Bryan at about 10) Finally made it out onto a track, Toph cracked but Dave sat in the, then for no reason he was gone, ran the last long leg home well.

Apart from finding the map hard to read in places, was mostly happy with how it all went

Thursday Mar 8

RUNNING 40:00 [4]
Up to the Res fence and home via the creek, did a couple of 12 min surges, fely OK
C • long surge? 2

Wednesday Mar 7

Note
Thought it was about time that I start logging on again, also, with only 4 weeks to Easter, I should start training as well
ROAD BIKE 1:40:00 [3] 52 km (1:55 / km)
Goose Neck and home around Junurton, fairly hard going as there was a steady wind. Went around the block coming home to take time upto 100 mins
MTB 20:00 [3]
To and from Streeet-O, was going to run, but it was my turn to man the table

Tuesday Mar 6

RUNNING 20:00 [3]
Out through the Golf Course and back via Solomans Gully, bumped into LK out there doing his stuff

Sunday Mar 4

Event: Warburton Up & Running

ORIENTEERING race (Boundry Creek) 1:08:00 [4]
Was meant to be the Season Opener, but after organising last weeks "Bendigo ToDay", I thought the season was well and truely going.

Didn't stop me making mistakes though, caught Jasmine, then Clara, going to the 3rd, Clara found it, but wouldnt tell me, wont help her out in future )-; Very rusty, shows I need to race a bit more, very surprised that I bet Blair
C • how far was it? 3
MTB 1:00:00 [3]
Cruisy ride around the mine and the Res, felt good, didn't get home before curfew
