Orienteering race 40:58 [3] 5.6 km (7:19 / km)

Midland Championships at Longshaw estate near Sheffield. I felt like I warmed up over the first few controls physically, but I was running well by the end. I could definitely have been faster though as I made 3 mistakes.

Running 1:05:00 [2] 10.3 km (6:19 / km)
ahr:168

Steady run from home aiming to keep my heart rate around 165. I was generally pretty good at this, although I recorded an average HR of 187 in the first km. I found it hard to maintain a steady heart rate, but I did deliberately pick a route which only had short sections of tarmac and quite a few hills. I tried to focus on using my arms and keep good form, but I'm not sure how successful that was.

Running wu/cd 10:00 [1]

Warm up including press ups. I need to improve my arm strength as I can only do about 5 full press-ups.

Running 1:00:00 [4]

Athletics with Lancaster and Morecambe. We ran to Millenium bridge, did two fast laps around to Skerton bridge, ran back to Carlisle bridge, back to the track and then 6x40m sprints. I felt like I was running quite fast, although I could still go faster.

Strength and Conditioning 30:00 [1]

Focusing on core strength today.

Stretching 5:00 [0]

Stretching after S&C

Running 31:06 [3] 6.0 km (5:11 / km)

Steady run round the estuary loop. I was running at 5:11 mins/km on average, so possibly a bit fast for a steady run. My legs were feeling a bit tired after intervals.

Running (Intervals) 21:00 [4]

Intervals session at Crook O'Lune. 3x1:15, 3x1:00, 3x0:45, 3x0:30. (Time out). I felt quite good despite training in terrain all weekend -possibly because that was a quite a steady pace- so I was able to push the pace.
