SROC Long distance on Torver High Common.
Didn't really know how to pace this, so definitely went a bit too slowly as I could still increase the pace at the end. Navigation all under control, compass really good, although sometimes a bit scappy in the circle.
Legs tired at the start, probably should have done a better cool down yesterday, then loosened off later on. Definitely weak on the hills.

LOC Middle Distance at Roanhead.
The plan was to start slowly then increase the pace gradually until I messed up. First 2 went fine, then I probably increased the pace a bit too fast and wasted about 5 minutes on 3. Decided that it was probably more useful to practice orienteering well, to build confidence. Otherwise navigation really good, all the short uphills were quite tiring though.

At parkside pool. I think the pool was shorter than standard so lengths seemed to be faster than usual, also the water was really cold so didn't stay in for too long.

Round through the fields to Granchester and back up through the meadows.
Was also going to do circuits but was busy all day and had no time.

CUHH Intervals.
4 x ( 2:00 [1:00] 1:30 [1:00] 1:00 [1:00] 0:30 [1:00] ) @ 3:45 pace
Floating rest which made this session harder, but generally felt like I was running well. Found it a bit hard to breathe at the end of the longer reps in the last two sets, probably just not used to running so fast in cold air. Lots of people there to run with though which was good.

Monday Nov 7, 2016 #

Round the fields to the sports centre for S&C then home along the cycle track. The soil was obviously a lot wetter than it has been so I kept picking up massive lumps on the bottom of my shoes which made running a bit more difficult.

CUHH session.
Lots of hip flexor exercises, probably need to do these more often as my hips are really clicky at the minute.
