Lakes training weekend- Great Tower
Jog round a line course as warm up, then a selection of exercises, again focussing on compass on the first couple then thinking about the approach into the control circle and having a good picture. Pretty good, pulled off line a couple of times by nicer running lines through the terrain, but mostly smooth into the circles.

Focussing on actually doing proper bearings on the first two compass exercises, then using the contour shapes a bit more on a long legs course. Mostly pretty good, sometimes getting pulled off line by the greener bits of forest.

Working on actually having a picture into the control to avoid just arriving in the circle and hoping to see the flag, mostly pretty good. Still one bit of the slope that I mess up every time we train here, just can’t figure out how the map matches the ground.
