ORIENTEERING race (Night) 36:52 [3] 7.19 km (5:08 / km)
spiked:10/13c shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw

SLOW Night O at Richmond Park
8th Place - Long Course
It was a nice evening to get out for a run and for the most part the park was quite runnable. But the clumpy uneven ground, and the darkness, meant I had to take it fairly easily. The course had a few butterfly loops at the start which was a nice change. I lost a little bit of time on one of the loops when I came across a bunch of unmapped fence circles and took a while to figure out where I was. Also spent some time on the hillside near the end trying to avoid get chased too much by a large white dog. Got around OK though with no ankle jarring so quite pleased.

RIDING - Road (trainer) 45:47 [3] 25.7 km (33.7 kph)
shoes: BIKE: Jamis Xenith Race (2011)

Thought I'd spend some time on the bike this evening. Tried one of the Zwift workouts which was an FTP test. Scored 240W.

ORIENTEERING race 12:56 [5] ** 2.92 km (4:26 / km)
spiked:17/20c shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw

CHIG 50th Anniversary Sprint - Race One
M21 3rd Pace (+33s)
First race of two short sprint races in Chigwell. I had a fairly clean race but lost a little time deciphering things on the way to two and battling with a closed gate on the way to five. Good position going into the afternoon's race.

ORIENTEERING race 11:22 [5] ** 2.93 km (3:53 / km)
spiked:18/20c shoes: Asics Cumulus 17

CHIG 50th Anniversary Sprint - Race Two
M21 2nd Pace (+6s)
This race was a reverse chasing start with 1min intervals based on the morning's results. I had a really clean run with only a couple of small hesitations. I did lose 5s on the way to eight by choosing not to run though a large hole in the hedge that was mapped closed but in the end this alone wouldn't have made a difference to where I placed.

I was quite pleased that I was able to get up and maintain a good pace today especially considering the multiple races.

RUNNING long 1:45:02 [3] 20.48 km (5:08 / km)
ahr:140 max:162 shoes: Asics Cumulus 17

With a race last weekend and a short race this weekend I had to fit in a long run mid week which is not something I have done in a while. I decided the tower Bridge to Greenwich tunnel loop but clockwise this time to try make the most of the sunshine while the sun was still up. I felt far more tired doing a long run after a full day at work but got in a decent run in the end and saw some little parts of London I hadn't seen before (such as Stave Hill) in the process.
