Really wanted to head for the big hills today but forecast pretty awful. Was going to run Sluie walks, but think still mentally scarred by 6 Day mud!! Anyway, Clava Cairns instead. Glorious up on the moors despite the lively headwind! Went up over the top of the main climb and dropped down behind (not done that before). Turned around and retraced steps and added in the extra loop with bonus climbs. Want to check out the over the top route a bit more next time. Great route for rocky descents. Kept getting cramp in right foot which was frustrating as had to take shoe off at one point to get toes to release!! Anyway, a much better weeks training but some time with roller and some yoga moves now very much needed!!

Harriers Pyramid Session. 2/3/4/3/2 mins with 90 secs recovery. 3 min recovery then repeat in opposite direction.

Enjoyed once I got going and legs felt pretty good. Hamstrings tightening by end though

Had planned to run up Clava Cairns but also trying to clear up post-holiday and ran out of time. So, a blast in Culbin. Tracks a bit greasy but you don't need much brain capacity for this route, which was perfect as still trying to process reality of mum's condition :-/
