Running 59:44 [3] 6.27 mi (9:32 / mi) +96m 9:06 / mi

Easy trundle around Darnaway while S was doing O coaching. Don't actually know the forest that well so was a bit of a pain as I had to keep route checking on the OS map app on phone - not great when it's pishing down!! Anyway, bonus is that I've sussed out enough to string together a decent run.
Findhorn flowing fast.
Legs not too bad but heels predictably a bit sore.

Running race (XC ND #2 Evanton) 34:15 [3] 4.0 mi (8:34 / mi) +106m 7:55 / mi

The mud, oh my, did I mention the mud?? Great fun but realised on the first hill after the first river crossing that hills were not my friend today. Just felt empty. Poss the cold I've had, maybe lingerings of lakes in a Day. Tough, just had to suck it up. At least my walk pace on steepest bits is as good as many running!
No issue on the downs, despite thick mud covering the tree roots, so did ok there.
Circulation in arms/hands going a bit on second half and started to feel pretty sick with a mile to go.
Had to work to hold off a MRR and HG from IH who I tussle with at each race.
Survived!

Nice and easy catch-up chat/run with Jane. Interesting start/finish through the mama and baby cows in the track. Lovely run though

Absolutely Baltic run from Coylumbridge before work. Stunning out there, shame I didn't have more time for a longer run.

Orienteering 43:38 [3] 2.28 mi (19:08 / mi)

Night O training. Elgin. Shadowing Scarlett :-o

There should be rules about shadowing your 12-yr-old, omg!! Large strop between 5 and 8 ment much time wasting, then we forgot about arguing and took it in turns to do each control. She drives me nuts though!! :-)
Creepy in the Grave yard, especially when the control is in a dark corner behind a tree!! Thankfully the drunks had cleared off by then!! Some howling Baskerville-esque hounds in back gardens and lots of bemused locals who didn't appreciate all the lights! :-D

Warming up loop from home

Running 31:26 [3] 3.15 mi (9:59 / mi) +259m 7:57 / mi

8x police station hills. 1st lamp post after my house up to the gap in the wall art the top. Was aiming for slow and steady, consistent pace, rather than an all out effort, trying to keep below the coughing threshold! Felt like a useful workout anyway!

Running 10:51 [3] 1.18 mi (9:12 / mi) +35m 8:25 / mi

Easy loop back round Cluny on the road to stretch off

Running 44:54 [3] 5.16 mi (8:42 / mi) +80m 8:18 / mi

From the lodge when I realised I was no longer being productive at the desk! Cold and damp but not much wind. Garmin literally went to sleep in km 3 - random - but woke up again.
Still coughing and snotty and not 100% but improved. Must collect new inhalers tmrw, that might help!!
