Running 28:12 [2] 3.01 mi (9:22 / mi) +39m 9:00 / mi
ahr:128 max:144

Easy trundle from Jon's. Testing out the calf which felt really bruised when I woke up this morning. All a bit random as was no hint of a problem when I went to bed!!! Suspect a slight strain so a few days off coming - boo :-( Aside from that, all felt fine

Running tempo 15:00 [3] 2.12 mi (7:05 / mi) +15m 6:56 / mi
ahr:159 max:168

Harriers 15 minute challenge. Got the dry window in the day! Wasn't sure about the incline on the route so some out n backs, so got headwind and tailwind. Calf held out

Running 9:12 [3] 1.0 mi (9:12 / mi) +6m 9:02 / mi
ahr:131 max:144

Cool down. Calf still feeling OK after the effort but know it's going to be grumpy later

Saturday Oct 3 #

Hiking 1:30:00 [3] 6.0 km (15:00 / km) +5m 14:56 / km

fun walk along sea front and round golf course at Nairn with the kids. The bickering was minimal for once and they are good company on days like that!! Obligatory ice cream/coffee/hot chocolate from James's afterwards. Weather proper minging!!!

ahr:114 max:150

Maoile Lunndaidh (1005m) from Glen Strathfarrar with Liz B
Stunning day for it, kept clearing as the morning went on so that by the time we were on the ridge heading to summit, all the cloud had lifted :-)
Very wet underfoot and chilly to start. Views, views and more views!
Achilles reasonably quiet but feeling very lacking in energy at the moment
Lovely to be able to absorb here properly, when I passed through this Glen on the Highlander MM in 2016 think I was too shattered to fully appreciate it all!

Grabbing a quick trundle in the fading light. The light faded quick!! Must dig out headtorch and charge!! Legs moving well - joy of not running with a bag
Usual creaky heels
