Sunday Oct 18 #

10 AM

Running 4:13:53 [3] 12.0 mi (21:09 / mi) +1156m 16:17 / mi
ahr:120 max:151

Slioch with Jon. Weather looked good so made an early dash for it. Easy enough along the Loch side but then a lot of bog and rock hopping. Numerous false summits but we just about got views :-). Fun descent route, if I did it again I think I actually would take my dodgy looking line because it did work quite well :-)
Legs felt fine but heels had taken a battering so it was a shuffling kind of trot back to the car. Quite a rough day really so think feeling weary and a bit battered is totally ok!

Friday Oct 16 #

10 AM

SUP 17:53 [3] 0.67 mi (26:42 / mi)
ahr:97 max:116

Calm paddle from the campsite while the kids packed up their gear
3 PM

SUP 18:21 [3] 0.69 mi (26:36 / mi)
ahr:84 max:96

And then on Loch Maree later. Cook up and then we all had a stint. By the time it was my turn it was pretty choppy. Beautiful though

Thursday Oct 15 #

12 PM

Hiking 1:02:58 [3] 3.1 mi (20:19 / mi) +26m 19:47 / mi
ahr:72 max:95

So the kids picked this one. The wash up area at the campsite has all the Walk Highlands routes up on the wall. No one dared complain!! Nice and flat but bitterly cold

Hiking 1:01:19 [3] 3.07 mi (19:58 / mi) +52m 18:58 / mi
ahr:80 max:108

And the walk back out

Wednesday Oct 14 #

12 PM

Hiking 1:21:46 [3] 2.5 mi (32:43 / mi) +420m 21:30 / mi
ahr:88 max:143

Beinn Eighe mountain trail with the kids. They rebelled! So we almost made the high point of the trail but the youngest was doing a sit-in. Shame as eldest was actually fine and only complained to support his sister I think. No idea why he does this as she’s so bl00dy mean to him most of the time!!
To be fair to the kids, it wasn’t quite what they were expecting - it’s quite a lot of climb in the second mile, but they bailed just as it was flattening out!
5 PM

SUP 23:36 [3] 0.62 mi (38:03 / mi) +7m 36:46 / mi
ahr:70 max:98

Choppy SUP, but very cool in the setting sun with a back drop of Skye
