Sunday Feb 14 #

9 AM

Running 2:08:56 [3] 14.5 mi (8:54 / mi) +147m 8:37 / mi
ahr:137 max:156

Another Sunday run with Liz B, another route with new trails :-)
Snow starting to defrost and the air felt peculiarly mild!!!
Despite top fuelling last night from Jon’s cheffing, and breakfast, and banana, still ended up also eating the gel and bar, just constantly starving at the moment!!
Wooden peg-like on the slidey bits but good to stretch our legs on tar and good for legs to feel strong at the end.

Friday Feb 12 #

9 AM

Running 1:32:53 [3] 10.02 mi (9:16 / mi) +153m 8:51 / mi
ahr:144 max:158

Hadn’t really planned to run another longer one, Liz B had mentioned 11-12km but we got a bit carried away in Altyre :-). Legs feeling battered from trying not to slide, just no purchase in the powder and my uber mobile ankles just love it ... not :-D ... good weekly miles though. So hungry!!!

Thursday Feb 11 #

2 PM

Running 46:07 [3] 4.38 mi (10:32 / mi) +132m 9:38 / mi
ahr:130 max:152

Easy paced to check out a bit of trail.

Wednesday Feb 10 #

12 PM

Running 1:24:30 [3] 14.2 km (5:57 / km) +155m 5:39 / km
ahr:131 max:148

Headed out with no real plan other than to do a longer run mid-week and hope that the niggles stayed quiet! They did and it was glorious! Dry fresh powder, minus temps, blue skies and sunshine! Legs felt good, but definitely hard running in dry powder.

Tuesday Feb 9 #

skiing (XC) 1:05:00 [3] 2.7 mi (24:05 / mi) +85m 21:56 / mi

XC skiing at the windfarm while the kids attempted to be nice to each other with sledges. Tbh it’s no surprise Josh rarely joins us as his sister Is so utterly vile to him!! But it was lovely he joined us anyway!!
Most of the circuit of the windfarm. Have no technique On steeper uphills and was slithering everywhere on that but managed to glide on the downs a bit better and didn’t fall over!! And no murder had been committed when i got back to the teens :-). -5 so a bit chilly!!

Monday Feb 8 #

1 PM

Running 48:49 [3] 5.35 mi (9:07 / mi) +34m 8:57 / mi
ahr:130 max:143

Billed as an easy paced recovery run, but ended up being longer than it was meant to be due to trying not to run besides the A96!! Got hailed and snowed in which was all quite invigorating but turning into the headwind at Broom of Moy was brutal and face went numb :-)
Right Achilles very creaky but seemed to move around a lot so think mostly i need some more stretching, mobilising and chilling out - please God can the kids go back to school sometime in the vaguely near future, particularly the youngest ... for everyone’s sanity :-O

Running 6:43 [3] 0.77 mi (8:43 / mi)
ahr:132 max:138

The bit after random phone call from dentist about a tooth extraction for J - random because he’s just been signed off from 2 years orthodontist treatment ... dentist mistake apparently ...
