My longest run by far, for quite some time!
Felt pretty ropey when i set off from Jon’s to meet Liz 2km down the road. Running straight into the wind was not helping and everything was creaking! It felt quite horrible for about 8 miles tbh! But we had a beautiful route and the trails up to and beyond Sluie are sublime. A bit of stop start route checking and a diversion when the trail ran into the river that was expanding!
Sheltered from the wind a lot here.
Climb out and across the road to keep climbing on farm tracks up to the Dava Way - back into the wind.
Downhill now almost all the way to the Dallas Dhu. Feeling a whole lot better despite body creaks. Off into the Fairy woods onto more twisty trail and feeling good despite sore heels etc. Liz flagging a bit but is the furthest she has EVER run, she was awesome :-D
Bit of a slog on last bit but a tail wind So that’s all good! May be stiff tmrw ...

So good to get run done earlier in the day. It was actually warm! Wearing far too many layers! No route in mind, just to run for about an hour. Niggles niggling, but fairly quietly today ...

Ankle pretty sore today but it keeps moving around which leads me to think it’s as much psychological as physical :-/

Take one vaguely fkd ankle and keep testing it with just another run! No rain but a whole lot of strong gusting head winds and a few patches of ice and decide to try a few 1km tempo efforts ... felt suitably hard, and there seems to be some speed there as seemed to hit the rougher stretches of the trails for the tempo. Was going for 5 efforts but ran out of steam!!

So could not be arsed with this after a day of home working and trying to keep the morale of the youngest teen up as she survives the sh&t show that is home schooling!!! So it was dark, and rainy and very windy by the time i got out. But it was peaceful in the forest and very much needed! Not nearly as much needed as my kids need to be in school though. This needs to end ...

Lunchbreak dash to breathe in warm air and feel sun on face, albeit in a hoolie!
Car park at Culbin heaving despite Moray not being on half term, and many out of control kids on bikes!
However, decent wee blast and picked up pace for last two kms. Most snow is now mud.
So gorgeous to feel warm and lungs definitely appreciated that.
Ankle held out. Last nights diggings and proddings at many trigger points definitely helped!! #diyphysio :-D
