Running 2:17:47 [3] 10.78 mi (12:47 / mi) +337m 11:39 / mi
ahr:121 max:146

Trundle up the Dava Way and then a thankless route straight up the side of the Knock of Braemoray. Quite why i decided to wear my knee-length tights on a day when it was 2 degrees with snow showers, i have no idea and my shins have not thanked me for the heather gouges!! Views from the top were pretty stunning, full 360, could see right across to West coast tops, moray firth and Cairngorms. Took the wee goat track to descend and then onto vague bog fest paths to get back onto Dava Way. A few landrover tracks and a full snow shower blast to finish. Quite creaky but what’s new, and not very energetic but got it done. If i genuinely want to get round the 60km that is the Cairngorm Ultra in about 8 weeks I need to pull my finger out though!!!

Very easy creaky plod around Roseisle while scarlett was at an O coaching session. Was made very clear by daughter that I was to go away! Brain wasn't engaging anyway so i did!!

Running 55:54 [3] 6.25 mi (8:57 / mi) +58m 8:42 / mi
ahr:136 max:164

Out with Liz B in the Culbin to hide from the wind. Lovely and sunny though despite 1 degree. Very creaky to start, must arrive on bike like Liz so already warmed up or do something radical like be early and jog around a bit first :-D anyway good blast for the first 5km on the decent trail, with Liz chasing me up the hill, then we made it up as we went along. Glorious wee trails, a sea view and a little bit of tail wind :-) perfect but glad to snaffle coffee off Jon afters as was frozen!

So crap at doing this stuff but 50-yr-old bones/tendons etc need it
Man my ankles are so wobbly on single leg dead lifts though!!

Hiking 1:57:58 [3] 5.47 mi (21:34 / mi) +229m 19:05 / mi
ahr:99 max:130

Madam found a couple of Turfs no-one had bothered with yet, which meant she voluntarily went up a small hill :-). Blowing a hoolie again, but so sunny! Forest track to the 1st one but much excitement from S that we could go off-piste to reach the other one. Several kms off thankless tussocky peaty boggy terrain later, and one thigh deep dipping (S not me :-) ) and the love was less strong!! But she was smiling and no whinging, and unlike yesterday, neither of us lost our temper with each other!! Success all round!!

Very easy paced bimble from Jon’s. What a beautiful evening. Lovely loop through the edge of The Culbin. Feeling quite creaky but HR stayed low

Top loop efforts with PB and JN Harriets.
So easily could have not bothered, freezing cold, windy and sleet - just why would you???
But i did, and I’m glad i did, even though in felt spaced out and breathing all off!
And hurrah hurrah hurrah - i may actually have two teenagers in school next week ... 1st time for the youngest since just before Christmas ...

Running warm up/down 13:49 [3] 1.52 mi (9:05 / mi) +49m 8:16 / mi

Turfing with Scarlett at Findhorn. OMG the wind!! Could barely stay upright down at The Ey. We bailed at the beach huts as there is only so much sand you need in eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair, shoes!!! Beautiful blue skies and sunshine between the snow showers
