Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]
Running race (ACT XC) 32:42 [3]8 km (4:05 / km) vdot: 49.9
Goorooyaroo

Haven't been to a crossie out here before. It was an out and back course, undulating all the way, hardly ever flat, and more downhill after the turn around. Nemises Girl was in sight for the first half then pulled away on the second half. Felt ok, hammy a bit tight. Great sunny weather! Felt really slow at about 6km

16.44 out 15.58 back.

As I was about to leave, some guy came up to me and asked me to hang around for a few minutes, but wouldn't tell me why. I thought Ripper! I must have won the Runners Shop spot prize. Alas, I didn't. Instead I won some massive trophy - for some novice category based on some weird points system?! Obviously I didn't tell them I hate trophies.

Quite hungry afterwards so ate 4 pink sultana-less finger buns...Mmm

Really fun intervals on Commonwealth Park thanks to macearama. It was a blowin a gale today, but my many layers kept me warm. Short and sharp sets

Canada Run for Cancer

Did this race two years ago and it's always a fun event with pancakes afterwards. Wasn't really pumped up for it, but still wanted to get under 40. Felt ok, but sort of like I couldn't be bothered pushing too hard...Still, kept an eye on my watch and tried to keep close to 4 min/kms as possible
