RUN 3--Run on the W&OD. The plan was to run one mile warm-up and then three miles with Fartleks and then 4 miles at a moderate pace. However, on the way out, I was running uphill and into the sun, so the Fartleks overheated me a bit. I didn't bring water because I thought the water fountain in Herndon would be enough, but I should've brought water. After six miles, I was toast, so I ran/walked the seventh mile. The last mile, though, I felt better and ran it in 10:28--even faster than my first mile. Good workout when all was said and done.
