Staying with the same route each day this week. Legs felt strong and on the way up I focused on trying to increase my stride length. On the way down I focused on trying to increase my cadence. Results were: time to top was 18:10, 50 secs faster than yesterday, and overall time was 2:30 quicker than yesterday. Stats show ave stride length up from 0.97 to 1.03 and ave cadence up a modest amount. I think this shows there can be real benefits to consciously thinking about trying to improve on a running matrix whilst on a run.

Top of Scolty and back via the saddle - same as before. Felt like hard work going up. Legs felt like they had nothing in them, and sweating. But was 19:00 to the top - 6 secs faster than yesterday. Felt free-er and more relaxed running down, 'though. Overall, 51 secs quicker than yesterday.

Same as yesterday - up Scolty the via the short cut up in the open, then back down via the saddle. Felt quicker but a bit slower overall. 19:06 to the top, so was slower going down.
