Note
(injured)

Went to get checked out this morning after two days of nausea/headache/lack of shoulder mobility. No breaks or concussion (at least according to the CT scan. From concussion trainings I've done, I've learned that diagnosis should come more from symptoms than scans, so I'm pretty sure I have a mild one), possible rotator cuff damage. In a sling for a few days, limited activity for a little while. Grateful that my helmet took the dents so that my head didn't!

Note

Planned to get out this morning for a quick ride before a day of family stuff. The route I had in mind was largely on roads, so I added extra air to my tires and locked out my fork. When I got to the only 100-meter stretch of technical trail on the whole ride (a mile from my house), I reached down to unlock my fork and must have nicked a rock, because suddenly I was airborne. My helmet got knocked pretty good and I have a few scrapes on my face, and my left leg and right arm/shoulder are pretty bruised, but point tenderness has gone down throughout the day, so I don't think there's any serious damage.

Note

Since Nationals, I've fallen down a rabbit hole of medical testing -- from blood work to chest x-ray to ultrasound to cat scan, each one off JUST enough to warrant the next. Cat scan results came back yesterday and finally everything looks normal. Best guess is some sort of low grade bug for the past couple months. Phew... glad to have that not hanging over me anymore.
