Note

Arrived in Iceland at 5am (1am EST) and spent the day along the Golden Circle. Three hours of sleep in the last 36, ten hours of driving and hiking to pretty waterfalls, and one hard fall on volcanic rock. Perfect way to get ready for a race :)

Pretty zapped from the last week but still wanted to get out today. Planned for a hike in Wissahickon but when I started I felt better than I expected so ended up doing more running than walking. Warmer day than I was anticipating and ran out of water at about the two-hour point. Around the same time, I came down hard on my right ankle. Was able to start running again after a few minutes, but it stayed achy for the rest of the morning.
