Scenic tour of southern Maine with kateness. I was a little bit self conscious about my lack of fitness relative to this soon-to-be Eco star, but she chose a forgiving route and the miles passed quickly with all the catching up we had to do. Mid-ride stop at Pineland Farms cafe. Chocolate chip banana bread helped fuel the return trip.

Champlain Mountain --> Dorr Mountain --> Cadillac Mountain. Nearly all granite, including a 1km ascent up a stone staircase, with a few minor sections of via ferrata. Broots met me with S and Z just below the Cadillac summit, and we blueberry-picked our way to the top.

Acadia loop - a mix of road and gravel, capped off with a few surprise miles of dirt and a few hundred meters of shouldering my bike across a sandy beach, c/o a google maps snafu.

Sand Beach to Otter Point. Time includes stops for rock hopping along the coast. At Otter Cliffs, just before the point, we met a climbing instructor whose parents were old time Eco-ers. He raced PQ Tahoe with them in 2015. Fun to swap stories.

Carrying S and a heavy pack for six hours today, including this hike = full body workout. I was sore all over by the end of the day.

Segger Season begins.

10min power walk/10min run, repeated three times, plus 5min c/d. GPS was wonky for the first 10 min, so distance is a bit off - I think about a third of a mile longer than the route actually was.
