Scheduled FTP test. Solo parenting both kids for the first time while broots is at WT - thought I might be able to sneak this in, but S freaked out right as the second eight-min block started. So, pulled the plug a bit early.

Back to Amherst to close out our trip. 8x2min hill repeats - hike up/run down. Spooked a rattlesnake during my warmup, then watched a thunderstorm roll in during the main set.

Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail up to the summit of Mt Washington with my friend Dan. Broots drove to the top with the loose plan of hiking down to the Lakes in the Clouds hut (where Dan used to work) with both kids. They only made it 1/2 mile. We met them there, and I traded my light pack for S and his heavy pack for the final stretch, so he could give Z a shoulder ride back up to the top.

Now I know why DML is so strong.

Scenic tour of southern Maine with kateness. I was a little bit self conscious about my lack of fitness relative to this soon-to-be Eco star, but she chose a forgiving route and the miles passed quickly with all the catching up we had to do. Mid-ride stop at Pineland Farms cafe. Chocolate chip banana bread helped fuel the return trip.
