2 stromlo ints with kezza. didnt feel great on the bike and was struggling by the end of both of em. nice morning tho and coffee and french toast at the sub only made it better!
Cycling 1:55:00 [3]
couldnt handle a saturday night cycling for most of it so i thought id cruise over to majura and check out other people doing just that. round lake, war memorial, campbell park, hackett hill then rode last bit of the course.

saw some of the girls team waiting for shannon to come in and fel to go out. on the way back i saw fel tearing up the single track so rode with her for a wee bit then ducked off home.
nice to get out for a night ride. time for a movie and steak on the couch!

Well, had my last undergraduate lecture yesterday. bit emotional, so i gave my lecturer a hug. my friends reckon i boxed her into it but i maintain it was mutual. had a ripper arvo in the uni beer garden and then dinner to celebrate my bro's 18th, what a busy day!

pretty frustrated with myself about how lazy ive been this week, even with my knee not being 100%. found an old civic pool pass with a few swims left so thought id go for a dip. jumped on the bike and pumped it round the lake taking all the dirt options i know. ive got a pretty good loop where you can mostly avoid the bike paths.

speaking of bike paths, those two wooden poles missing between the road and bike path coming off the north side of comm bridge have been replaced by freshies. bastards! getting through that gap was a key part of my (and many others) commute. anyone got a spare chainsaw?
swimming 40:00 [3]
geez, been a while since ive swam. Dont think ive even busted out a decent session since getting back from Swe. it showed.

felt like a less than elegant beached whale flapping around. probably wasnt quite that bad but musceles were defo hurting i didnt know existed.

did a 500m time trial in the middle. a 9:30 when i used to swim comfortably under 8mins was a pretty reasonable indication of my form today. still enjoyed it and cant wait to get our pool in action. bring on summer!

Wednesday Oct 24

Cycling 1:15:00 [3]
was planning on doing tour de gus but knee and legs felt so schizer once i got riding that not even a gus's espresso would have got me round. instead grabbed the ipod and rode round the lake plus up pleasant hill.

feel like i need some down time. will prob be a quite couple o weeks with exams coming up soon. then summer holidays!!
