very productive training. shot outside so a chance to deal with the winds which for the most part I had none. shot fairly well, but the big thing able to make more changes that will help more with the shooting. shot 250 rounds plus some dry firing.

all the more time for running.

decided to keep it easy since Saturday will be a long training day for shooting. The track was occupied also and the thought of running on the CCT AGAIN just did not excite me.

Thursday Apr 24

Running 1:01:00 [1]7.7 mi (7:54 / mi)
ran on the C & O canal with others so distance is from another runner's GPS. ran four striders at the distance time and distance not added. I can feel all of the shooting and lifting in my upper body this time.

Wednesday Apr 23

ran to the gym and back.
Weightlifting 25:00 [2]
all the more time to lift. Did shoulder press, hip ext., sit ups, balancing on the bosu ball, push ups with the bosu, calf extension, assisted chin ups, lat pull down, etc.

only shot so so both prone and standing. Luckily I will get to shoot outside on Saturday. Shot 150 rounds.

Tuesday Apr 22

Yard work 40:00 [1]
First mow of the season. Had to be careful with the mower now that the yard has been fixed up so much many creatures have decided this is a great place to have kids. Pulled out the mower only to find an extremely small rabbit behind it- only about two weeks old, also found three different bird nests, along with two squirrel nests, plus toads. Nothing ended up in the mower blade so it was a good first outing.

by the time I started it was the beginning of dusk and I finished in the dark. Started out great and slowed a lot since it was extremely dark in places and I had no idea where I was putting my feet. Felt good though.

ran to the gym and back.
Weightlifting 25:00 [2]
did balance on the Bosu, sit ups, leg curls on the large ball, leg extension, lat pull down, rows, bicep curls, bench press, sideways planks, hip flex exer, leg press, hamstring curl on the ball, overhead press.

Sunday Apr 20

Shooting 1:00:00 [1]
Changed the butte plate on my gun and it took out some of the recoil. My shoulder was not bothering me that much after 100 rounds. Not sure how much use in shooting indoors so might wait until Saturday when I can shoot outside before praticing again.
