With Simo Goddard out to his folks place in Heidleberg via bike shop and yarra trails. Longest run since November and I was struggling a bit at the end. Nice tempo and great to be cruising the trails again

Regular Ride with Bike shop boys (reubs, Eddy) and Ness. Got in 60min first by heading west past Flemmington then scoping out the the city high rise progress... hurry up!

Back down to Bens walk, then up onto some fire trails. Forest and rocks are awesome, just like running in Sydney.
Feeling pretty flat and tired!

Nowra Golf course, too dark to get onto the single trail north side of the river. Got in 3x10min 5 min recovery to try to push myself... Forgot my stop watch so timing is a bit rough.

Up to Kew before Punt rd-beach rd with the Bike shop boys. Lungs dug pretty deep into nasty head wind on beach rd. Lemon tart at Cavallinis was inspiring but probably not the best breakie filler

Opposite to yesterday, struggled out of bed but at least it was day light. Fairfield pipe bridge, chandler hwy loop. Great morning for it and at times I almost felt like I had some rhythm

Could't sleep even though I was pretty tired so hit the streets early. Too dark for Yarra path, instead fairfield, clifton hill, collingwood, fitzroy, fitz north, home.

8x2min 1min easy jog

So slow! Scarred I'll never run quick again

Ivanhoe, 3 boulivards then along the Yarra bike path. Messy day for cyclists. 2 down, 1 by a car (he looked like he'd be ok), the other a collision on the bike path, ambo and back brace on the scene :os

It really was a bad day on the road... On the commute home I am not sure how the car missed me. It couldn't have been closer, in a split second I was ready for pain and Irio damage, but somehow it just didn't happen.

Was pretty keen for a ride this morning but a rest is probably best. Needed the extra bit of sleep and 90-120mins of commuting for the day will do.

MFR Monday night run from Dions. Ouch! this hurt... Can't remember a run when my quads felt so punished... feel like they've been beaten with a baseball bat, just managed to avoid tears on the downhills.

Orienteering 1:08:00 [3]

Bendigo about 56.30 for 9.6. Hagby style. Couldn't get the legs moving early, got going and worked hard staying with Schepsi and John. Thought I got the better of them until I did a route choice away from the line. How silly in Bendigo terrain! Knee is pretty good, so happy. Legs feel beaten up from all the running! Simo did about 50

Regular Beach road venture to Cavallinis with Bike shop boys. (Reubs, Ed today) Felt pretty tired and hungry.. Kind of lost a meal and 3 hours yesterday.

Orienteering 35:00 [3]

Bendigo, forest Sprint Race training. A rusty 23.56 for 3 something k.. Ran like a headless Nancy to quote Blair 'Kez who started a minute in front of me and was all over the place'. Simo did 18 something. Decided Orienteering and running in general is very hard!

6xMonument Hill reps 1'20-1'22 for each. and 4x30sec run throughs on my way home
Cycling legs don't move very fast .. 15secs slower then my last visit to freo in Sept :os
Great to get back to my room for home made bircher muesli and figs

Mona Fartlek, through some cute freo back lanes to little creatures and the wharf... back via the back lanes again to steal a few yummy figs to put on my breakkie muesli. Love a good Fig
Leg was pretty average by the end.

Tour of Freo. Monument hill-Freo Goal-Markets-Cafe strip-Round house then back via the Port and along the Swan. May have missed the most famous of all spot tho.... Little creatures. Might have to make a visit at opening hours

What a mistake! Decided to ride even tho it was pretty wet. It just got wetter.. and then I got a puncture... and I got wetter and everything was wet and now rather cold and I just did the quickest route to work in the wet and cold and didn't warm up until 1030 and so what a mistake!!! my justification for leaving the house on a ride was that I would get wet whether commuting on the pro-ace or catching the train.... but I never would have ended up this wet and cold. Great morning for running! now I hope my wet kit has dried off before I put it back on for the ride home.

Clearly the only one sober enough to make the 7am ride. Hot morning and felt pretty tired but still managed the long commute via ivanhoe boulivard and yarra bike path.

Was umming and arring about running until Sebba gave me a kick up the arse and told me to get my knee sorted. Decided to run until it hurt instead of this on/off annoying crap. Headed straight up high st to check out the action and tempting kebab shops. Felt the knee but no real pain... Felt unco and shocking tho... Great wine tasting at 'from the wine' mid run too.. it seems Kangaroo Island make some pretty yummy reds now..

Out to Rosanna and back before 3 boulivards with Reubs & Darius. Double slap in the face for aroma on the boulivard this morning. Left cheek Convent Bakery, right cheek CUB malthouse.

Boulivard and couple of laps around Albert Park with Reubs. I thought I would feel super strong after Adelaide, but have only felt weak and slow since.

Basketball 30:00 [3]

Lunchtime Basketball. Up at half time but ended up getting hammered by a team far more skillful, stronger and taller then mine. It was no thanks to me. Didn't get a warm up and first touch in about 4months. I missed a lot of easy baskets!
My knee seems to handle this pretty well. Hopefully it will handle orienteering better as well.
