Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Orienteering (Oceania Long) 1:30:00 [5]

2nd 89'38 1min behind Jules and 1 min in front of Simo.
Best result in an important long race by a mile. Just a steady run with a few 30sec-1min mistakes. The Brain was massively tired at the end from continually trying to avoid losing concentration. The plan on being conservative payed off and the shockers done by Jules and Sheppa made my run look faster then it really was. winning time really should have been closer to 80.
Shame I lost the lead on the second last control with a sloppy mistake but overall pretty happy.

Ripper yellow sub Party too!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Orienteering race (Oceania Sprint) 13:00 [5]

13'08 (7th) Jules 12'09
Happy with run.. no big mistakes lost 5 secs on a few controls within circles or by not getting the best line.
Relieved after my shocker on Monday. Plan was to be very conservative and even tho I was loosing secs on each technical control, It payed off by no bigger mistakes. Plus lately haven't done enough (none really) orienteering to navigate any quicker/better.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Orienteering race 35:00 [5]

37'..
Well behind Jules (28min??) in 11th place
One bad bad day...
Wasn't orienteering great early but ok start... Left control 7 without strong plan and didn't recognise danger halfway through leg. Got caught with parallel gully error. Didn't regather and another big mistake on next due to not looking at angles within control circle. Then I lost my cool totally.... was soooo angry and sad and every other emotion thinkable. Couldn't think straight at all... rest of race was a mixture of mistakes and getting some controls ok. Tried to calm down after the race and avoid hyperventilating(just).... head and stomach aches followed rest of day:(
Now having a chance to reflect I see lots of positives in my running... physically recovering well and when I don't rush myself I'm picking up features nicely.
Couple of days now to work on the head before more races. Better days will come!

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Orienteering race (ACT Long Champs) 1:45:00 [5] 15.4 km (6:49 / km)

1'43'32 3rd behind jules(12min) and sheppa(6min)
Few minutes lost and a bit sloppy in parts but happy to run a fairly solid race.
Don't like being so far away from the lead but considering the last 6months its not so bad.
Wanted to keep a little bit in the tank for tomorrow, was worried I wouldn't be able to but managed to feel ok at the end.
Knees a little sore tho... down hill was a killer for the cycling legs.
