Glands swollen, pretty knacked, hot/cold and a bit of a headache! so spent most of the day sitting on the couch. Think this really started with the light head ache on Thursday which hasn't gone away since. Being Dehydrated this morning probably didn't help and tipped me over the edge
Orienteering 16:00 [3]
Went to do a line course on Majura West. Got a couple of ks into the course and pulled the plug, feeling sick and heart rate was definitely high.

Friday Jan 11

New Friday ride up Federal, another good turn out of 7.
Broke a back spoke just after hitting the bumpy old hwy. First in a couple of years and on these wheels, so can't complain. Headed home early just in case the damage got worse.

Thursday Jan 10

Was in the most fowl mood from work.... was going to do some hill ints with Shep on Bruce ridge but after two steps couldn't be fucked! At least I got out for a run because it was bloody hot and it was hard enough getting the motivation to leave the house. Hopefully better luck tomorrow

Wednesday Jan 9

New ride for the New year. cotter - uriarra but starting at commonwealth ave bridge, group of 7 also, breaky at yarralumla bakery after the bunch had a close call with some Roos and finished up at work
I was working pretty hard to keep up in some sections, the bike really shatters the legs at the moment.

Ran home from work, was a stinker and I was pretty buggered so virtually straight home via War Memorial and edge of Ainslie. I should definitely commute/run more often.

Tuesday Jan 8

3x 8min with 2min recov over on Black Mt trails. just managed to get out of bed from a after work power nap. Stuffed but feeling good at the end, was really getting the HR high up some of the hilly sections
Approx HR ave 1st 160, 2nd 165, 3rd 170.
Note, I have included my recov in this section keep the scientists happy... but now I feel like I have to give intensity a 4 rather then 5...

xmas break meant things felt a bit different between the two of us

From Work up to Red Hill and back, started a 5 thought it might have cooled off but no temp was still 32C. Got in 5 x run throughs at the end.
Run was a perfect end to my first long day back at work then a dip in Sebbas pool and a ripper bbq.

Sunday Jan 6

Sunday run with Cockies, was a bit worried about the ankle, but felt good while running, pulled up a little sore but not major.
Always some topical convo but got to the first run without O politics!
