16k (10mile) Brimbank XC race. 63'13.

Probably the toughest xc race Ive done.. It was the real deal, hills, bogs jumping over rocks. Climbing Col d Brimbank was just awesome as everyone had cow bells and lots of cheering.
I took it easier early on, felt bit average in the middle to late sections but was good for the kick home. I beat a few guys in the club I normally wouldnt and others who were generally running quicker then me. I was making so much time as they pussy footed down the hills.
Now my calfs and feet are shattered from xc spikes... Its been a while.

Happy with race especially after the debacle which required me to ride 18 or so ks. The moped pissed oil everywhere on kick start.
Riding a singlespeed all the way to near the airport is not ideal race prep and Melbourne isnt as flat as I thought it was.

So bloody cold, never really warmed up
Athes 2x wave session which means 2x 400,200,200 and good float. whole lot in 11'45 (3.2k) fairly short and cruisey in prep Saturday.

Slept in too long so missed the aths long run. Yarra trails studly pk to pipe bridge.. It was nice to be out.
