Run 40:00 [3] 6.6 km (6:04 / km)

A run which started badly, came good and ended in frustration. Headed out in search of my old stomping grounds; really struggled through the first 10 minutes but then settled down as I headed into Aranda and past my old place (which still looks the same from the outside). Starting to feel quite happy about things and then my calf flared up again at about 30 minutes coming off Aranda Hill; struggled on for another 10 minutes before pulling up stumps a bit early. Seems I've still got an upper limit at the moment.

Heavy smoke came in on an easterly change last night, but it had improved a bit this morning; from Beijing levels to Guangzhou so to speak ( although in fact Beijing has cleaned up its act somewhat in recent years; most of the world’s air pollution hotspots these days are in India, with Delhi a particular problem area).

As with yesterday, the Conference had its moments (in particular the discussion around the structure of the Schools went a bit more gnarly than I was expecting it to), but happy with most of the outcomes in the end.

Not for the first time, I hit the wall fairly soon after the end of proceedings - although this year I don't have any cricket to hit the wall in front of (or at least didn't think I did - having seen the Heat batting on TV earlier in the day I'd assumed that the WBBL final was in the morning, which seemed a bit strange, but they must have been replaying the semi). Won't get home until after 10 (assuming the flight is on time); not too upset I don't have a 7am Pilates session tomorrow (I'd reshuffled it to Tuesday in anticipation of a possible work trip to Adelaide that's ended up being a videoconference instead).
