Today I was pretty mentally drained from the week going into it, so I took this opportunity to better my mental game. First two sets went out conservative and got to about a light wednesday effort off of it. Last set did the same thing as I did two weeks ago, promised myself to destroy myself on these 2nd last ones so that I knew that I was going to hit that effort going up and over that last hill. Definitely got there and when I started to falter my mind instantly went to this means I now I push harder!

Had to go for my offday early on Friday because I was losing my mind with stress from my exams. Needed to step away... As a result the run itself was probably faster than Fridays normally are. Good stretch and roll afterwards

I was pretty happy with myself after today. Tempo loop was great now that all the snow is gone, plus a new record despite the blistering winds down Oliver.... Straight into active and brazillians. Starting to feel quick off the 200 now so that was nice... Brazillians themselves were good, nice to have Colin to push the pace a little. Really focused on the arm drive today. The k we went out a little more ambitiously than I would have like, would have liked to work into the race more. However, when we race we often don't get that choice so we just have to play the cards that we are dealt... The k itself was hard and I could feel myself breaking down mentally and physically but I broke it down and still managed with a good last lap!

Today was one of the better pool workouts of the year so far! Got in deep and enjoyed it right from the start and had some good mental conversations with myself as it progressed and the intervals got faster.... Good spike ball with Jeff as well today
