Today was really good, first minuters were flowy and fast and enjoyed the bursts of speed. Came back to start the tempo with the guys and started off pretty fast faded a little towards the middle of it but coming down the hill to finish I picked it up and focused on making things relaxed and on the arm drive. Solid strength

Today had some positives and negatives, but overall I was not pleased with the end result. First 800 was great! Ran conservative off the start and started picking people off after about 200. Continued doing this till the 800 split where I heard the split and started thinking instead of running. My my mind started to race recalling what I need to do on this 3rd lap. My mind got bogged down and no calm conversation occurred.... only when people started to go by me again that I was brought back to reality and by then my possibility to win the race had already gone out the window. Way too much in the tank, process was good until 800

Running (Workout ) 1:00:00 [3] 7.0 km (8:34 / km)

5 up
10 tempo
5x200@33 high with 30 between
200,150,100 all out with 30 between
5 tempo
15 down barefoot
Stretch and Roll
Ice

Much better workout to end the day off... tempo went well off the start and it progressively got a little faster. 5x200 was great flowy and not very straining. The 200,150 and 100 were very tough considering the very little recovery, good focus on the arm drive there. Tough 5 mins of tempo off the end. Barefoot because Achilles was killing me after the race. I think I need new spikes....
